Children of the Earth Association (YEÇED) was founded in Istanbul in 2016 to respond to the education and humanitarian needs of children affected by crises around the world. We work so that children deprived of their basic rights by war, natural disasters and poverty can live safe, healthy and dignified lives. To date, YEÇED has reached thousands of children in 14 countries, focusing not only on emergency response but on sustainable, long-term solutions.
Our Main Programme Areas
Education: educational material support, accelerated learning programmes and psychosocial support so children in crisis areas can continue their education.
Psychosocial Support: programmes and safe spaces that support children's emotional and mental development during and after crises.
Humanitarian Aid: projects meeting the basic needs of children and their families, including food, clothing and hygiene supplies.
Advocacy: research and awareness work on children's rights, and follow-up of legal processes concerning rights violations against disadvantaged children.
Our Principles
Equality, sustainability, transparency, rapid response and children's rights guide all our work. We set out with the belief that "one child builds a world" and continue working so that every child can grow up in safety, receive an education and take a healthy part in life.
